About

Between stories, images, and territories.

I am Claudia Ferland—a journalist by training, a photographer, and a creator. My work is rooted in a curiosity about people, their stories, and the ways of living that shape our relationship with the world.

With a background in international journalism, sociology, and communication, I focus on narratives that offer a deeper understanding of human realities. Writing allows me to delve into a story, photography helps me capture its details, and artistic creation enables me to explore what sometimes eludes words.

Travel and fieldwork are central to my practice. I am particularly drawn to communities in mountainous and isolated regions, and environments where ways of life, cultures, and connections to a place deserve careful observation.

My work exists at the intersection of journalism, documentary, and artistic exploration; I am always open to projects that allow me to learn, create, and tell stories in new ways.
